About the Mexican American Coalition
MISSION

The Mexican American Coalition is a national leadership organization established to advance the interests of the Mexican and Mexican American community in the U.S.


The coalition is integrated with about 625 members that represent 500 grassroots organization. It is led by a board comprised of 18 members from national and local organizations such as COFEM, NALACC, CONFEMEX, AMEXCAN, Red de Mexicanos, HOLA, GLAHR, Local Chapters of LULAC, etc.

MXAC is a national organization with headquarters located at: PO BOX 6120 Arlington, VA 22206-0120.

AFILIATIONS

MXAC is affiliated with the National Immigration Forum, as well as Reform Immigration for America (RI4A), America’s Voice, and the Center for Community Change.

Many coalition members have been key in:

  • Organizing marches and mobilizing millions across the country,
  • Registering Latinos to vote and mobilizing Hispanics in election campaigns
  • Lobbying elected officials and fighting to defeat anti-immigrant initiatives proposed to Congress.
  • Advocating immigration reform.
